Bison's Trail,and the trials...




Taking only what is needed to keep us alive,
doing only what was needed to barely survive,
scratching out a life from the frosted lands,
untill the coming of white man hands,
bringing guns into the slaughter,then turned on the people,Father,Mother,Son and Daughter...
Those were the pains of life on the plains,back in the day of fresh sweet water rains...Then industry and smoke,how our lives did choke,even from the progress of trains,nothing is heard of Great Buffalow herds,
mostly just a sign of the Bison's Trail Remains...
Soft was his growl he wasn't on the prowl,as the lone wolf passed us by,it was not his belly he needed to fill,he gave no chase, none got killed,he longed for his kind taken by man,into their cities,upon their hands,they bore them out for trophies or zoo,
taking what they wanted like was done me and you,
no longer is the thunder of our lumbering numbers,
we know why the willow weeps,does memory wander?
For Horns and Skins and our Meat did they Plunder,
now the Bison have Tears,and do we now wonder?
I heard the White Wolf speak to this one,soft is his words and truth in his tongue,listen please, for he helps us all,another Ear Lent to White Wolf's Call,the one of his dreams that cries for us all...Another vioce to Add to Our Call...
