Now, I'm off to see if the Coke will really clean my toilet.

don't get me wrong though, lol... water is much better than coke anyday.. I occasionally drink it... it's so laden with sugar as are other soft drinks and juices

thank you two!!!!!....but the ham thing is good....I've even put 7-up in a cake!
HOLIDAY HAM
1 ham
1 (12 oz.) can Coke (not diet)
1 can pineapple rings
1 can cherries
Clove spikes
Put ham in deep pan on aluminum foil. Pour Coke over. Pour cherries (drained) over. Place pineapple rings on top. Put in clove spikes. Bake at low temperature (300 degrees) for 2-2 1/2 hours. Coke will turn into syrup.
7-Up Layer Cake With Coconut Pineapple Frosting
Ingredients:
***CAKE***
2 sticks butter
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3 cups sugar
5 eggs
1 teaspoon lemon extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
7 ounces bottle 7-UP, room-temperature
***COCONUT FROSTING***
1 can (16 oz. size) crushed-pineapple, undrained
1/2 cup butter
1 1/2 cup sugar
3 tablespoons flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 can coconut
Directions:
For Cake: Cream butter, shortening and sugar together. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add lemon extract. Add portions of 7-UP and flour alternately, beating well after each addition.
Bake in greased 10-inch tube pan at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until cake tests done. Top cake with coconut frosting while hot. Serve cake hot or cold.
For Frosting: Put all ingredients into a saucepan. Cook together, stirring frequently as it thickens. Remove from heat. Add coconut and blend well.
