| | | Wolf Parkinsons White Syndrome
My 18 yr old son was taken to the emergency room last night and they told us he hasWolf Parkinsons White Syndrome. He is still in the hospital and they say he will probably need surgery.
Is anyone might be familiar with this? I've looked it up on the internet and know what it is just thought if someone knew of it from personal experience they could enlighten me to the more personal level then text book explaination.

Thank you JLV... He is still in the hospital. They started giving him meds but is still having the abnormalties on the EKG's. They are talking about keeping him until he can be transfered to the hospital where the surgery will be done.
On a lighter side of this (which in these situations I tend to make jokes, i'll fall apart when it's over) He just got his drivers license a few weeks ago. The doctor says he can't drive for at least 7 weeks after the surgery. I did a little happy dance at that as he has been driving me crazy finding reasons to ask for the car LOL.

Just a quick update. They released my son yesterday from the hospital with meds and a strict diet. If he has another attack then they will have to do the surgery.

| | | Final Update... I hope LOL
Well, we finally got someone to help my son with this problem. After numerous trips to the ER and alot of jerking around. My husband got my son signed up with a place call Voc-Rehab. They paid for his surgery and will pay him to go to school and learn a trade.
He had his surgery 2 weeks ago Down in Miami, almost had to have surgery again on the right groin area artery as it was bleeding slowly. Fortunately when he went in for the procedure they found it had healed itself.
So, he is on the mend and doing well. The doctors don't foresee it returning.
Now our next drama will be the birth of my 1st grandchild in June..
