You should always pay attention to your body when you have pain or you'r "just not feeling right". I was at work and just started feeling crappy and went home. My wifewanted me to go to the hospital and after sufficent nagging I went. They ran all kinds of test and pronounced me healthy as an overweight former smoker could be but they wanted to run one more test in the morning and would like to keep me for observation overnight. The test they wanted to run was a treadmill stress test where they shoot an isotope into your vein - take some pics have you do the treadmill shoot another isotope into your vein and do the pics all over again. I reluctantly agreed

The next morning I went down to the testing room - they shot the isotope in and I laid down - I had a heart attack while he was running the pics. I have been shot and i would rather be shot again than have that kind of pain. Hurt doesn't even begin to describe how it feels. I was lucky - I was in the best place in the world to have a heart attack (if you are going to have one). The Dr. said that I would have had about a 20% chance of surviving if I had been at home (5 min away from the hospital) and my chaces of surviving if on the road would have been so small as to be non existant.

At that time I started paying attention to what my body was trying to tell me and 3 months later I had bypass surgery (also something not real pleasent).

Since then I have lost about 60 lbs (have another 15 to 20 to go) have started excersizing and enjoying life. I refuse to let stress rule me anymore. and if there is anything you get out of this message let it be that you:

LISTEN to YOUR BODY and DON'T LET STRESS RULE YOU!!
