My sister used to be a tanning bed addict (both of my sisters, actually) and she did develop skin cancer in two places on her body last year (or maybe it was a couple years ago.) She's got a gapping hole in her arm as a result. She's now battling a much more severe cancer that has nothing to do with her skin, but I absolutely HATE tanning beds, as I'm sure that's what caused her skin cancer. I've never used one myself. My other sister is very dark skinned naturally, but uses a tanning bed anyway. Go figure. But the one who got skin cancer was fair skinned like me.
